✧ About Me

Textile Artist | Oaxaca, Mexico | Nature–Culture–Conscious Design

I’m a textile artist based in Oaxaca, whose practice weaves together nature, symbolism, and cross-cultural storytelling. Drawing inspiration from the living landscapes of Mexico and the refined minimalism of Japanese design—interwoven with the rhythmic symbolism of African heritage—I create pieces that bridge worlds and invite harmony into the spaces they inhabit.

Each work begins outdoors, in stillness and observation. First I collect seasonal leaves, bark, and plants from local forests and gardens, translating their natural geometries into patterns through traditional press printing and slow, meditative processes. My compositions evoke birds, butterflies, flora, and the four elements—earth, air, fire, and water—manifesting the intelligence of nature in textile form.

My intuitive design approach focuses on creating balance, warmth, and coherence within interiors. Using organic dyes, natural fibers, and sacred geometries, I transform textiles into living, tactile art pieces that support conscious environments—whether as bespoke garments, wall panels, or interior installations.

I collaborate with architects, boutique hotel owners, and wellness spaces who share my commitment to sustainability and soulful design. Each commission is a dialogue between place, purpose, and the subtle vibration of color and texture.

In 2025, I will be working between Mexico, Europe, and Japan, offering limited collaborations and custom textile commissions.

✧ Giving Back to the Living World

In gratitude to the landscapes and species that inspire my work, 20% of all profits are dedicated to wildlife conservation projects. The primary initiative I support is the Monastario de Aves, a forest regeneration and bird sanctuary program in Oaxaca that protects vital habitats for migratory and native species (Reservas de Aves Migratorias). Each piece you collect contributes directly to the preservation of these ecosystems—helping to nurture the same living forests and winged beings that give life to my art.

✧ Art as Offering — Community & Education

For me, art is not only creation — it is service. It is a way to give back to the communities and ecosystems that continually inspire my work. Through art therapy and creative education, I guide children to reconnect with the natural world, teaching them the principles of bio-design, botanicals, and respect for the living Earth.

In San Pancho, Nayarit, I founded The Sunset School — a traveling art initiative that transformed the streets into classrooms. At sunset, we arrived with paints, natural pigments, and musical instruments, setting up open-air “schools” in local neighborhoods where children gathered to create, learn, and play. Each session was an offering to beauty and curiosity — a space where art became language, and nature became teacher.

Later, in Tulum, I collaborated with Ladle to design a Water Consciousness Program, inviting children to explore water as both element and spirit — learning through sensory experience, color, and sound how essential and sacred water truly is.

I believe that art is one of the most powerful tools for shaping the future. When children are encouraged to express themselves creatively — to observe, to imagine, to care — we plant seeds of empathy, intelligence, and stewardship. Every brushstroke, every song, every small act of wonder becomes part of a wiser, kinder world yet to come.

✧ Workshops & Masterclasses

I offer immersive workshops and masterclasses that invite adults to slow down, reconnect with nature, and experience the alchemy of textile creation. Through these sessions, participants learn my process — from gathering leaves, roots, and flowers, to preparing natural dyes and printing directly with plants. Each step becomes an act of presence: the joy of watching a leaf reveal its pattern on fabric, the scent of bark releasing color, the meditative rhythm of creation guided by Earth’s intelligence.

These workshops are not only about technique, but about awakening a sensory relationship with nature — understanding energy, texture, and transformation. They inspire people to create their own pieces with intention and care, staying close to Mother Earth and her infinite palette.

In April 2025, I hosted a workshop at World by Hand, Tulum, and in February 2026, I’ll return to lead botanical printing and natural dye masterclasses as part of the World by Hand Summer Camp — a three-week program dedicated to craftsmanship, beauty, and conscious making.

✧ Art Events & Collaborations

My work often extends beyond the studio and into collective, experiential spaces, where art becomes a medium for connection, community, and environmental awareness. I believe in collaboration as art form—where music, ritual, design, and nature merge to create moments of beauty and belonging.

During the pandemic, in 2022, I organized a series of art events for conservation, raising funds and awareness for local initiatives including the San Pancho Turtle Foundation, San Pancho Bird Foundation, and Sierra Madre Jaguar Foundation. In a time of uncertainty, these gatherings rekindled community spirit and reminded us of art’s capacity to heal, unite, and protect.

The following year, in 2023, I founded the San Pancho Art Walk, a collective event designed to give exposure to local artists. We transformed the walkway to the beach into a living gallery — each artist building a Tipi as their own creative studio, where visitors could learn about their process and connect with their stories. Over 40 artists participated, turning the street into a vibrant celebration of creativity and community.

In February 2025, I collaborated with the Sacbé community in CDMX to create a Design by Nature Tea Room, a pop-up installation at their gathering that invited guests into a world of sensory calm. The space was adorned with my hand-printed textiles, transformed into a tea lounge that offered relaxation and connection through ceremony. Musicians and DJs curated soundscapes that flowed with the atmosphere, while guests were invited to wear Design by Nature kimonos, making the experience both immersive and embodied.

Each of these projects reflects my belief that art is not separate from life — it is how we gather, remember, and reimagine a more connected world.
